Now if your global balance is positive with arctic buildings working - start transporting new resources to temperate and increasing profits there. If you are in the negative - turn it all OFF and go back to temperate. Once you venture into arctic, start with building something. Nothing stops you from building the same stuff again for more profit. You start in temperate sector, build some stuff and make profit. You should stick with default one for your first game, which is welbrook basin. It is valid for easy difficulty only, since you explicitly mentioned it, and i believe you do miss important concept - your expansions should be funding further expansions, not themselves.įor starters, the only reason to ever restart on easy difficulty is if you change starting sector. You already got an answer, so i`ll go for a longish one. Any information is greatly appreciated, and if you made it all the way through this post you are a legit saint. I'm sorry for the long post, but I've fallen in love with this game and would hate to quit playing it because I missed something. Does anyone know what I'm missing or have any tips to help? I've tried optimizing my layouts (which got me WAY closer to my goal) and only upgrading when I absolutely have to to avoid having to build more resources before I absolutely have to. How is that possible when I need 111 of one thing to pay for just 1 of another? I know about the modules and such, but I can never seem to get out of the hole once I start a new region. So I understand the premise of this game is to make a company and make it profitable. And I know I'll need at least two more right off the bat, one for power, and the second for that other mineral I need for cybernetics. I did the math and I'll need to build 111 residences to profit enough to cover the expenses on just ONE of those mining sites. I placed the very first mine you need (I forget which) and I went from around $300 profit to over $1k in losses. Once you get to 50 miners, you can start to produce things. I got there, bought an area, and started creating miners. I decided I was going to play EXPLICIT attention to how each thing I build in the Lunar region affected its profitability. The investors require cybernetics which requires me to build on the moon.so fine I started building on the moon. I need to upgrade my executives to investors to unlock the diamond mines, to make supercomputers (or something like that). To avoid going further in the red I plain stopped building there as it currently generates enough goods to keep the temperate zone happy. I kinda chalked that up to having to build based on where you've set up heating, and running out of space. The temperate more than makes up for this but.like I said its annoying. I built everything I needed to upgrade the temperate zone all the way up to Executive level, and unlock the scientists in the artic, but the Artic still comes in in the negative. This nets me 50k, so I figured I'd deal with it until I could build enough to make the region profitable. I opened up an artic zone to support the temperate zone and its loses about 2k per day. I have it to where its generating about 52k per day (or whatever period of time that counts for). This time I'm trying to make each region profitable before opening up a new one. I figured I screwed up somewhere so I started over, but did the same thing, hemorrhaged money, and restarted. All of a sudden I started bleeding money and couldn't figure out why. In my first two runs of the game I pretty much just followed the instructions given and expanded my company as quickly as possible. If you want the short version scroll to ****SKIP TO HERE**** but you may be lost if you do. I'm going to be as terse as possible, but I want to also be detailed. I am playing on easy mode while I learn the mechanics of the game and one thing is getting DEEEP under my skin. Each time I learn a little bit more about the game. I've been playing Anno 2205 for about a week now and restarted three times so far.
